This national park on Chiloé Island hugs the Pacific coast and is an old-growth forest with a dominance of old canopy trees:
Few areas of our planet maintain temperate zone, old-growth forests
Evergreen tree species
Shade conifers
Nothofagus tree

Day 11 - - - - Puyehue National Park & hot spring
Day 11 includes the most epic singletrack e-mtb ride of the whole trip and is followed up with a soak in one of the best hot springs in all of Chile…which happens to be located in a national park.
Lodging: Hotel Termas Puyehue Wellness & Spa Resort (4-star)
Dinner: Chilean style buffet…what does that mean…hope you like meat and beer/wine!
E-riding distance = 26 miles through Puyehue National Park
This 220,000-acre national park is located right in the Andes mountains and has numerous natural thermal springs, 3 large volcanoes, and 3 different ‘eras’ of evergreen forests.
Here you will ride down singletrack and double-track right in the heart of a dormant volcano. This park is packed with hidden hot springs…and we will take you to our personal favorite. This park is considered the ‘most complete’ national park in the whole of Patagonia.
Day 12 - - - - Helicopter ride from the springs to Pucón
No mountain biking vacation would be complete without single-tracking down the most active volcano in the Southern Hemisphere…that also happens to include an active lava-lake that glows during the night.
Since we are short on time, you will be commuting via helicopter, from Puyehue National Park to Pucón. What would normally be a 5-hour drive is less than a one-hour chopper ride.
Ride: 18 miles of mostly downhill singletrack, all on the side of the active volcano…..no e-MTB today…..Since we are unable to transport the e-bikes via chopper. You will ride our full-suspension Giant Trance 2 mountain bike
Dinner: First growth volcanic wine (red) with organic lamb shanks from local Patagonian farm
Lodging: Lake-house near downtown Pucón. Feel free to walk around, swim in the glacier lake, and watch amazing sunset views right from your room or deck
The best way to see the active volcano and lava lake is from the sky…which is the main reason we do the helicopter transport. You will witness rare views that you can only experience in Chile…glimpsing the active lava lake from above is breathtaking and is truly a unique moment that you will never forget!
Day 13 - - - - Pucón to valdivia
While we were hoping to finish this trip off with a train ride, that is unfortunately not a possibility….not because it doesn’t exist, but because the ride takes 6 hours.
E-ride: Today you will e-bike up a steep 22-mile trail to the most picturesque and best hot spring in all of South America
Highlight: Best hot spring in all of South America (termas geométricas)
After the soak…. 2-hour shuttle ride to Valdivia
Dinner: Best craft beer scene in Chile along with fresh seafood and BBQ. My personal favorite is the crab-cake and lamb BBQ
Lodging: Oceanfront town of Neibla. You will stay in a simple cabin with ocean views…nothing is too fancy in this local seaside community…but the views are amazing!
Day 14 - - - - Fly out of Valdivia (Pichoy Airport)
You will enjoy an amazing Chilean breakfast before departing for the 40-minute drive to the Pichoy Airport.
Do to all the logistics involved in this tour we can only offer it ONCE per year
